The booklet presents a total of 25 phonics sounds with various ways to spell each sound and includes example words. Color-coding identifies letters from different groups that look the same, but sound different, so students gain understanding in both different spellings for one sound and different sounds for one spelling.

Students have opportunity to practice identifying sounds in words and place them in the proper columns of charts as they progress through the lessons.
